Hi all,

This is my 1st post so please be gentle Smilie

I installed the Kanotix 32bit live CD to my hard disk and wow I think it's way cool. However; I did a package update with KPackage and only updated some and now when I try and use KPackage for more updates I get nothing. If I attempt to get any updates all I get is one directory called DEBIAN and no update packages, no new packages only what I have installed.

If I attempt an APT upgrade I get the error:

The file is there,

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hay Kano,

Thanks for that, I'm not sure exactly why it fixed the problem but now works OK. If you have the time perhaps you might explain what the problem was and why the command you gave me solved the issue ?
