After some upgrades, kde does nothing when i plug in an usb pen or when i insert a cdrom.
But it should show a window and allow the user to mount them, don't?
Nothing is changed in /etc/fstab. I tried updating hal too but the problem still exists.
hal-device-manager is able to see the usb pen (model and other info), so the problem isn't there.
And dmesg returns a correct output.
How can i fix it?

if got the same problem in KDE after d-u and can fix it with your tread

xfce will work without this problem
