Ok, yeah, I know, being a "killjoy" and all that.
I was under the impression that it's only the US and the retail marketing thugs that make a big deal about halloween these days.
Plus, it makes it really nasty to read.
I know that some consider "corporate grey" drab, but it's a hell of a lot easier too read than this white (and some red) text on black!
Ugh!

p.s. and yes, the above is on a 21" monitor with res' set at 1600x1200. Oh and whoever designed the "welcome" banner at the top, correct grammar would be "welcome to Kanotix.com" (OK,yes I'm just off to go and stand in "pedants corner"). |

Well,
Halloween is just fun from my agnostic point of view, and and actually based on quite old pre-christian traditions. "The US" (who's that, the current administration?) did not even dream to exist those days ...
If you don't like retailers picking every possible reason to grab your money, simply don't visit their cathedrales.
If for any reason you don't like the theme, simply change it back to one of the other themes provided. There is SilverEngine (our usual default one), and 64bit - a very lite one.
As this theme is all about fun, the banner is of course, too. It's grammar is playing with Kanotix' "Germaniac" roots.
Greetings,
Chris |

Please refresh your browser - someone seems to have corrected it.

I didn't, I was just coming for a look around and the forums opened with it - do I presumed it must be set for default during the halloween period.
I'm just off to select something else.

p.s. Now lots of people have heard the rather arrogant remarks from we Brits, about the good citizens of Germany not having much of a sense of humour.
The rather "tounge in cheek" mod to the grammar in the banner, proves otherwise in my book. Well done whoever. It certainly made me chuckle.

Well, the person responsible is not more than 25% German - more an all European mix with American sprinkles.

sure, I might not want this theme all the time, but I REALLY like it for this week. It's nice that the Kanotix forum has its themes for the various seasons and holidays and such.
Bring on the next one Slam!
