I note that the ndiswrapper-common and utils use the ubuntu.deb tag.

| The kernel is recompiled from ubuntu git, but ndiswrapper will be updated soon. 1.30 is too old for usb devices. |

What does "noide" mean?
Also, when you can find the time, would you please make a post in English with your thoughts on what your future plans are, in terms of future versions of Kanotix? It would be greatly appreciated. |

| I have installed the new Kernel on my IDE system and everything is running without problems. According to Kano only legacy IDE code is removed from the kernel. In case that your BIOS is very old you might need to use acpi=force for acpi usage. And in general you need to use Kano's hal packages with this kernel (included) since the original Debian packages won't work properly. |

I'm afraid there is no CeBIT-Release of kanotix this year. 
but a new kernel 2.6.20-10 update-pack for testing and upgrade to your own Cebit-Release.

| No new kernel. Only new ntfs-3g. But will update kernel with Ubuntu Final sources when they are out. |
