Hello,
I have RC7 on Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Li 1705 laptop - VT8237A chipset with integrated sound chip.
There is no sound in headphones. I would also like a higher volume level in speakers. There is none of these issues in Windows.

well, did you use alsaconf? (closse all soundapps - open konsole - su - alsaconf )
And you have to set the volume levels (front, PCM, master [...] with a mixer like kmix or alsamixergui |

Wollte mich nur mal eben bedanken  Kanotix erledigt halt sonst alles ziemlich automatisch - beim ASUS FM3 (gehört mir gar nicht) und der Soundkarte Nvidia mcp51 halt nicht. |

ja, ich dachte auch immer,dass das automatisch erkannt wird. Was es im prinzip auch wird, allerdings zb bei meinem netbook und dem eines freundes war der ton kaum hörbar leise. Nach alsaconf war es in ordnung und das hat auch schon öfter Probleme mit sound behoben.
Seit dem mache ich das bei jedem Rechner nach jeder Install  |

| Normalerweise brauchst das Tool nicht, nur wenn ne Webcam dranhängt, die sich grad vorgedrängelt hat. Sonst langt es ja wohl den mixer korrekt einzustellen. |
