Hi

Kanotix can not be installed into SSD from USB stick because it is not listed in acritox installer.
My hardware:
MOBO Gigabyte B450 aorus m
AMD Ryzen 3
HDD Seagate with Kanotix installed
SSD Kingston A2000 M.2

The SSD is visible in BIOS and in terminal with fdisk -l as /dev/nvme0n1

How should the installtion be succesful?

Please give us more information:

1. What´s the output of "fdisk -l" ?
2. Did you boot from the USB-Stick in Legacy Mode or in UEFI (https://kanotix.com/index.php?module=pnWikka&tag=UEFIornotUEFIEN) ?
3. Did you prepare the SSD as described here: https://kanotix.com/index.php?module=pnWikka&tag=UEFIornotUEFIEN ?
4. At which stage does the Acritox Installer not list the SSD https://kanotix.com/index.php?module=pnWikka&tag=KanotixInstallationEN?
Already at stage 2 (partioning)? https://kanotix.com/files/installer/en/insten03.png
Or at stage 3 (Partition mapping)? https://kanotix.com/files/installer/en/insten05.png

Sorry, but I do not have any idea, how to fix your problem.

There´ s one thing you may try still:

In the "Kanotix Factoids" there´s a patch mentioned for the Acritox Installer regarding NVME:

Quit the Acritox installer (if it´s running)

Code:
cd /usr/share/acritoxinstaller && wget -qO- http://kanotix.com/files/fix/installer/0001-added-listing-of-NVME-partitions-disks.patch|sudo patch -p2

You may do this as root and omit the "sudo".
After this fix start the Acritox Installer and it may now recognize your SSD.

Good luck!

This patch is included for several years. Are the partitions already formatted? Ext4 for the install partition, FAT32 for the EFI partition.

The patch was unfamiliar to me.
The now visible partitions are after installation of Neptune OS (which detected the SSD)
