Hallo, mir hats den Grub zerlegt. Ohne Änderungder Hardware komme ich nicht mehr auf meine Partition! Meine menu.lst:

Von Kanotix-Live CD booten (aktuelleres als BH8 wäre von Vorteil, 2006-01-RC4 ideal)
<<- Nur wenn 'wertvolle' Benutzerdokumente noch gerettet werden sollen sinnvoll (ob Erfolgreich hängt vom Plattenzustand ab), sonnst wäre eine Neuinstallation von aktueller Live-CD vorzuziehen ->>
Dann in einer Konsole schauen ob überhaupt noch Platten gefunden werden

Wenn ja, vielleicht mal versuchen die Linux-Partitionen zu mounten entweder über die KDE-Oberfläche (wenn da Laufwerke zu sehen sind) oder in einer Konsole per

Das xx durch die Platte/Partiton zu ersetzen (Für Kanotix 2006-01-RC4, für eine ganz alte Live-CD vermutlich /mnt/ statt /media/)

Wenn obiges auch nicht geht aber beim obigen fdisk -l Aufruf zumindest Platten(überreste) angezeigt werden, mal den SMART-Status der Platten abfragen, evtl. hat die Platte ein technisches Problem. (Details zum SMART Mechanismus halbwegs moderner Platten, bzw. hier)
(Sofern smartmontools/smartctl auf der ganz alten Live-CD drauf waren, sonnst wie gesagt Kanotix 2006-01-RC4)

hi Hack-o-Master, die Partitionen sind samt und sonders noch vollständig vorhanden - mit allen Daten. Ich habe mir auf der 2. Platte eine neue Partition erstellt von der ich auf die Daten zugreifen kann, "nur" das alte System ist nicht mehr zu starten. Kann man den Grub von Hand neu erstellen, oder aus der alten Patition heraus? Der Witz ist daß ich auch über die Boot Diskette nicht mehr auf das System zugreifen kann.

wobei natürlich /media bei deinem museaumsstück durch /mnt zu ersetzen ist, sowie /xx durch deine root-partition.
