How to become root to change the configuration files

, the superuser
. There are many ways to become root. Here is one for beginners, as "Professionnels" don't usually read here :-), who work with "vi".
1.Open a terminal or console (in the system menu)!
"your Root password"
Having done that, you can now change with the < open file > ANY file on the system. But you should be extremely careful. A wrong letter in the wrong file, and your system does not boot anymore. For beginners, the details can be very tricky!
