Der einzige Vorteil an dieser Geschichte ist, dass man etwas über Linux lernt. Aber eigentlich will ich "nur" drucken... 
Mein Konica Minolta magicolor 5430DL hat unter 2005-2 funktioniert. Nun habe ich die Easter-RC4 neu aufgesetzt und denselben Druckertreiber wie vorher installiert => Kein Drucken möglich. Update auf CUPS 1.2.1-3, befolgen diverser Tipps aus diesem Forum:
- apt-get remove --purge cupsys
- apt-get install cupsys cupsysdriver-gutenprint hplip
- Auskommentieren des Listen-Eintrags in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
- Editieren der DeviceURI nach file:/dev/usb/lp0 in /etc/cups/printers.conf
- chmod 666 /dev/usb/lp0
Der Drucker lässt sich mit localhost:631 normal installieren und einrichten und wird auch im Kontrollzentrum erkannt. Angeschlossen ist er an usb://KONICA%20MINOLTA/mc5430DL (usb #1).

Das scheinen 2 Probleme zu sein:
1) Als User erhalte ich "PID xy stopped with status 1!"
2) Als root erhalte ich zusätzlich "cupsdAuthorize: Local authentication certificate not found!"
Deutet also auf Rechte- bzw. Authentifzierungsprobleme hin. Wer weiß Rat? |

danke für den Hinweis, den ich allerdings schon gesehen habe und der nicht zum Ziel führt. Auch Google lässt mich hängen. Hat jemand noch eine Idee?

Schau mal bei linuxprinting.org vorbei. Hast du den dort empfohlenen Treiber installiert? Hast du die dortigen Anleitungen zur Installation befolgt? Hast du dort mal im Minolta Forum und Mailingliste nachgeschaut bzw. nachgefragt?
Finde mal raus, welches cupsys bei 2005-02 dabei war und installiere das mal.

Verdacht: Der Treiber, der auf meinem alten Rechner funktionierte (eine mit alien umgewandelte rpm-Datei von der amerikanischen konica-minolta-Seite), macht auf meinem neuen System Zicken (AMD64). Hinweise auf "falsche Architektur" bei:

Jetzt geht der Drucker! 
1) Alles CUPS-relevante, Gutenprint, Foomatic, Druckertreibereste etc. mit apt-get remove --purge entfernt. Immer schön der Reihe nach, damit nicht das halbe System mitverschwindet.
2) mit apt-get install cupsys, libcupsys2, cupsys-client und libcupsimage2 installiert.
 Jetzt hat man ein entschlacktes CUPS 1.2.1-3
3) Kurzer Test: Kann ich mit http://localhost:631 mt dem Server verbinden: Ja? Gut!
4) Download des Druckertreibers http://printer.konicaminolta.net/drivers/linux/magicolor5430DL-1.7.0-1.i386.rpm.gz
5) Entpacken

dpkg --install magicolor5430DL-1.7.0-1.i386.deb
6) Einrichten über localhost:631, Testseite: geht!
7) Druck aus anderen Anwendungen: geht!
Ich hatte vorher ein neues RC4 aufgesetzt und ansonsten keine Änderungen vorgenommen (Auskommentieren etc.).
Mit dem Treiber, mit dem es auf dem alten Rechner lief (magicolor5430DL-1.7.1-2.i386.rpm.gz), funktionierte es einfach nicht, trotz höherer Versionsnummer. Einen Treiber mit noch neuerer Versionsnummer (1.8.0; von www.linuxprinting.org) konnte ich nicht kompilieren, siehe Beitrag weiter oben. |
