I got several kernal's in my boot sub. Should I back-up or just dump the ones that are old. Being a pak-rat is somthing I fight with all time. I even got a 286 mother someplace with a 40 meg mfm hd..modem from 1200 to v92..HELP!!!

just remove the old ones.
boot the one to keep and do:
Code:
remove-all-kernels-completely

that will remove all but the booted one.
sometimes a little cleaning up in /usr/src is necessary afterwards.

Hehehe that is the most inappropriately named script ever! Winken
Also keep in mind that a kernel (and friends) on a Debian system are just .debs. You can simply use your favorite method for removing debs like apt-get or even Synaptic. I always keep at least 2 kernels installed. When you install a new kernel it is not unheard of to have to go back to the old version for one reason or another.
