I have upgraded to most recent version of aRts and now getting sig11's whenever I start up KDE
I am using:
1) Kernel 2.6.16.16-kanotix-1
2) KDE 3.5.2
Any ideas?

This downgrade removed 8 packages (on my system at least)
kde-devel
kdebase-dev
kdelibs-dev
kdesdk
kspy
libarts-dev
libasound2-dev
libkonq-dev

The downgrading worked for me without removal of extra pkgs using the [dpkg -i libasound2_1.0.11-4_i386.deb] command.

Is this just that ALSA is temporarily broke in Sid? I have switched to OSS temporarily instead of downgrading libasound. This seems to be working fine for me. Am I correct to assume that this problem will be worked out in a future dist-upgrade, or should I go ahead and downgrade?
