Hi,
Zwar funktionieren bei mir inzwischen zwei Monitore bei einer Radeon 9800 pro, aber das Bildformat des sekundären Monitors stimmt nicht. Monitor eins hat ein 4:3 Bildformat, der andere 16:9. Die richtige Auflösung dafür wäre 1280x768, aber einstellen kann ich nur 1024x768. Kann es sein, dass man grundsätzlich bei einer Dual Head Konfiguration nur gleiche Bildformate einstellen kann? (in diesem Fall 4:3). Oder gibt es eine andere Möglichkeit?
(Die Einstellung von 1280x768 in xorg.conf bei mode von screen 2 wird ignoriert)
Es gibt aber immer wieder das Problem der Art was als 2. Monitor benutzt wird.
In der Config steht Screen0=VGA und Screen1=TV
damit haben wir hier schon festgelegt das unser 2. Monitor am Falschen Anschluß (in deinem Fall) liegt.
jetzt kommt noch dazu wie die Monitore das Bild darstellen sollen.
Clone 1. und 2. Monitor das gleiche Bild. Gibt auch nur eine Auflösung.
Rightoff Monitore stellen 2 unterschiedliche Auflösungen dar und für jeden monitor muß explizit die Auflösung angegeben werden.
d.H. Monitor1 die Daten. Monitor2 die Daten.
danach in section Screen nochmals die Auflösungen pro Farbtiefe.

also, meine Grafikkarte hat zwei VGA Ausgänge. An dem einen (Screen0) hängt ein 19" TFT Flatscreen mit einer Auflösung von 1280x1024, an dem anderen VGA Anschluss ein 16x9 Plasmapanel. Der Plasmaschirm kann 1280x768 (jedenfalls bei W$). Obwohl bei screen1 under Modes 1280x768 eingetragen war, wird diese Auflösung ignoriert. Angezeigt wird auf dem Plasmapanel aber lediglich 1024x768. Also zwei verschieden Auflösungen produziert der Treiber schon, allerdings sind beide 4x3.
