General Support - ALSA drivers stuck at 1.0.11RC4? kenyee - 20.06.2006, 15:35 Uhr Titel: ALSA drivers stuck at 1.0.11RC4?
Anyone know how to get the latest ALSA drivers loaded?
I thought I'd pick up the latest ones after I switched over to the 2.6.17-slh64-smp-1 kernel, but it seems to be stuck at the previous version:
cat /proc/asound/version
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.11rc4 (Wed Mar 22 10:27:24 2006 UTC).
I've even done /etc/init.d/alsa force-unload before a dist-upgrade, but I've had no luck
It's particularly annoying because it doesn't let me use this nVidia C51 board's built-in sound...it only sees the TV tuner as a sound card:
cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [CX8811 ]: CX88x - Conexant CX8811
Conexant CX8811 at 0xf8000000

What's "m-a a-i"?
Google shows: http://www.fightingarts.com/reading/article.php?id=65
and I don't think we're talking about weapons
