The latest releases do. Try downloading KANOTIX-2006-01-RC4.

@op4latino

no I haven't. I am thinking to make a vdr box and I am finding very few information in English.The last information that I read in German was that there is a Kanotix version with VDR included and that is why I asked.

Any guide in English how to make a VDR box? Is there any sleapstreamed Kanotix version just made for VDR ?

Regards and thnx to all

I have VDR on Kanotix and I can help u with that task. Just ask here what you need to know. Kanotix is great choice for VDR, it automatic detects your DVB cards and start all needed modules.

I think you should just download newest VDR development source code and install it by yourself. So you can add your choice of plugins.

Here is old Mandriva's HowTo but you can use it:
HowTo (look section: Installing VDR)

What DVB-cards you have? Do u own FullFeature card?

VDR works on amd64 as well and doesn't need legally problematic components to function.

About components. Some technotrend/Hauppauge dvb-cards are quite often litte bitchy with different power supplies. Some powersuplies can cause block/errors in picture.

Examples: With this powersupply I get lot of errors and with this one everything works like it should be.

Supported DVB-cards: http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/PCI_devices_DVB-S

One shop where I have ordered mine dvb-cards: http://www.dvbshop.net/

I think that TT 2300 modded dvb-s card is great choice.
