I have just downloaded and burnt to dvd succesfully the latest live verison 2011-3, but cannot install to hard drive? There is nowhere on the menu that enables me to do so. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

You find the Acritox Installer in the KANOTIX menu.

Thanks very much. I found that and tried it. If I want to use the whole HD do I use automatic choice #1? How long does it take, because after 35 minutes nothing was happening? Thank you.

i would prefer a manual partitioning in any case (best flexibility ) after that you can open gparted and create a partition that covers the whole HD
