Titel: Help ! I can't boot from the external DVD drive !

Back when Kanotix 2005-04, I could boot from my external DVD drive by using the "bootusb2" cheatcode.
But every recent releses after 2005-04, nothing works to get the Live CDs to boot.
I'm selecting "DMA On, EN, ACPI On" option.

| Any changes in BIOS settings inbetween? Different way you burned the Kanotix CDs ? |

No, I'm burning my CDs with Nero standard V6, and I didn't change any BIOS.
I set it to boot in order of PCMCIA -> CD -> HD -> everything else.
Thanks for your reply though. I thought I was hopeless after almost 30 views with no reply.

Have you a labtop and can you change the bootorder from PCMCIA CD HD to USB PCMCIA CD, or USB CD HD?
Can WIN-CD boot from external DVD? In this case Reburn your CD with max-speed:8 and DAO. And if this doesn't help, try to change th CD-R manuf.
Some of the labtops can't boot from USB-CD when 1 internal cd is there. In that case fetch a new Bios to solve this problem. |

| bootusb2 cheatcode has some issues in the EASTER Previews. I have done some tests to verify that. |
