| many is the poster who has upgraded from inside of kde 'without a hitch' then found on reboot that the system was destroyed. As you note, it's basically pure luck which way it turns out. |

I did a full reboot. Worked fine and I did not notice any unusual errors. And it upgraded some major things, xorg, kde, etc...
But next time I will do it from runlevel 3 with the upgrade script. |
