Hello.....I was wondering about the last report on doing a dist-upgrade. I am using Easter RC4, and upgraded the kernel to 2.6.17.13-slh-up1. Everything is working great except for a few minor problems I have not been able to fix. I am hesitant about dist-upgrading cause of the issues in past. I spent the last few days customizing my installation and it looks real good. I realize it is not imperative to do a dist-upgrade. I am just thinking that if I do, that may take care of the other small glitches I have. Or it may totally trash the system! What are your comments and suggestions? The latest news says that the problem has been solved, but the "dont dist-upgrade" warning is still up! I am not sure whether I want to do it or not. The minor issues I still have are no big deal but I figured if I dist-upgrade, maybe then these things will work.
So far the Easter RC4 edition has been running very well and everything is great. Sehr glücklich

Now you got me confused. So I shouldn't dist-upgrade or I shouldn't dist-upgrade? Geschockt

From the front page:

"Edit: dist-upgrade is safe again.

Sure devil's post here in the forum was a little ambiguous but I can assure you, dist-upgrade is fine; I just did one myself about 10 minute ago.

Personally, I might be a firm believer in ambiguity, with of course some exceptions.

My thoughts on ambiguity are ambivalent at best.
