| X keeps crashing on me... It keeps shutting down and kicking me back to the kdm login screen. Also, it may have something to do with this... I am using Kanotix on my laptop and the mouse pad acts a little strange... when online, sometimes when I move the mouse to the left the browser goes back a few screens, and to the right it will go forward??? Not sure if anyone can help me on this one... All updates have been installed. I am using the 2006-01 RC4 cd. |

| I did not. what would be the correct script to do this? Also, apt-get update leaves me with error messages... |

install-nvidia-debian.sh
apt-get update
may only show some key errors. |

| great. I am in the process of a dist-upgrade right now. but as soon as that is complete, I will run those scripts. Once again, thank you. I will update the status in a few days to let you know if that worked. |

Ok, I ran "update-scripts-kanotix.sh" and was told that nvidia is up-to-date. I then ran "install-nvidia-debian.sh" anyway and got:
root@EricsKanotixBox:/home/eneu# update-scripts-kanotix.sh
install-fglrx-debian.sh...current version
install-kernel-source-vanilla.sh...current version
install-nvidia-debian.sh...current version
update-scripts-kanotix.sh...no update available
root@EricsKanotixBox:/home/eneu# install-nvidia-debian.sh
Error: No supported nVidia VGA adapter found.
root@EricsKanotixBox:/home/eneu#
Any ideas? also, I received some errors during dist-upgrade... Do you think I may have a bad install? Or is that normal? |
