Samsung SCX-4100 printer stopped working after I installed the latest Kanotix-2006-01-RC4.
I have been using Kanotix for a year. The same printer was working with the earlier Kanotix version.
I installed using the latest Samsung drivers. Is there some change in some required libraries in the latest Kanotix version compared to the earlier version?
Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks

No. I just opened the Konsole and logged in as root:

try setting up the printer in http://localhost:631
if that dont work, do:

apt-get remove --purge cupsys; apt-get install cupsys
(watch, if with cupsys other stuff is removed, and reinstall that as well)
/etc/init.d/cupsys start
then back to http://localhost:631 and set it up. should work now.
