          | Kano,
Thank you for the quick response. No I haven't. I'm very new to Linux and I don't know my way around yet. I do like Kanotix very much. Will commands that you gave me install in German or English? If German, would change them to their English counterpart. If there is no English, I'll install the German ones.

 Thank you very much

          | You can select the language when you boot Kanotix. Do you run VMware server as Client in Thorhammer or the other way around? |

          | I installed the updates and the graphics are much improved.
The vmserver is installed on Kanotix (host) and Guest system is Windows 2000Pro.

I Discovered today that the vmtools are not installed on he guest. To my amazement, I discvered the VM menu only prepared the guest for the instalation but did not install them.

Where can I get the vmtools and how do I install them? Please be detailed.

          | You select to install the vmware client tools in vmware and then you get em as iso image automounted in your client. |

          | I used the above instructions to install the ATI drivers on a different kano box. The install appeared to run normally. After completion the screen went black. The computer was rebooted and the screen came up black. The screen appears to be turned off. Any idea of how to turn it on? (This computer has the M2A-VM motherboard.)
