Titel: Virtualbox xp & 2k hang just prior formating drive C:

On virtualbox 1.64 & 2.02, both xp & 2k hang just prior to starting to format the C: drive on the dvi disk. Then vbox cancels the install.
The error message on the guest log is
BIOS: int13_harddisk: function 15, unmapped device for ELDL=81
Can some explain what this error message means and what needs to be done to fix it?
My internet searches, have revealed no answers.

try with virtual disk manager to create a disk before creating a vm or use the console with vboxmanage described in the user manual

I created a disk using the disk manager. Everything seemed fine.
When I tried to create the vm, I received the same error.
If you have other suggestions, I'll be delighted to try them.

so when path and file of virtual hard disk are requested insert both by keyboard and not by searching directories.

Solution:
Install the windows system with virtualbox default setting, but be sure to mount either cd/dvd rom or iso file. Then tweak the settings. |
