Als "gebranntes" Kind habe ich eine Frage zum Formatieren von HDDs. Ich habe 4 Partitionen auf einer HD mit gparted erstellt. die 1. als LinuX Swap, weitere drei als ext3. gparted tut das ohne weiteres Murren und Meldungen - bietet aber stets ein Überprüfen der part. 2 und 3 an, nicht der part. 1 und 4 ...
fdisk sagt aber

Was heißt does not end on cylinder boundary? - ISt das gefährlich?

Das stimmt schon, du testet nur mit den falschen optionen. cfdisk mag keine 1mb aligned festplatten,wie sie gparted anlegt, mit
fdisk -ul
wirste sehen,dass jede partition an ner durch 2048 sektoren teilbaren adresse anfäng, 2048 sektoren * 512 bytes/sektor = 1 MB. |
