I've just installed Google Earth and it's generally working well but all toolbar, sidebar, menu and main window fonts are so tiny they are virtually unreadable (I have to keep using beryls zoom feature).
I can only find an option to change the main window fonts. |

| You need probably some of the MS Fonts. Please go to the IRC channel there you will find help. I am not allowed to post the way of installing MS Fonts here, there are not free software. |

There are no legal issues with installing MS core fonts, just apt-get msttcorefonts and it will install the core fonts . As far as I know If you have a ( legal) copy of Windows you are allowed to install any fonts you have through kde control centre-system admin- fonts installer. |

Thanks, that's solved it. I needed to change the font size in ~/.googleearth/Registry/google/googleearthplus/User/render/guifontsize
If I was using 96dpi it would have looked ok I'm sure.
What do people generally use here for dpi? Kanotix was set to 75 by default and everything looked ok so I just left it. |

hey there,
rokay i tried the fix, but i did not have the guifontsize file to edit...
did a search and found an alternative fix
echo 16 > ~/.googleearth/Registry/google/googleearthplus/User/render/guifontsize
wherein the 16 is the variable and you could de/in-crease that number as needed.....
hope this helps
